It finally stopped raining for a bit this afternoon so when I took the puppies out I grabbed the camera.. hehe

Here is Lola and Rockey



Rocky is like 3 times the size of LoLa... They are so stinking cute and just about house broken.

The kids are having a blast with them. Lola is very vocal loves to growl and bark to be let up on the couch with me.. She's doesn't like to be left out of anything and Rockey is more quiet but loves to play with the boys where Lola would rather sit on the couch and watch. Just like a little lady. lol

New bundle of Joy...

Ok I just had to show yall this cute little bundle of Joy we are bringing home from Texas with us...

Her name is LOLA...

She is so teenie tiny... Here she is sittin in the palm of my hand. hehe

Here she is with Joshua... He is just in love with her and carries her around like a little football under his arm. lol

Ok now isn't she the cutest thing... She is half minature pincher and half datson.

The weather here in Texas is hot and humid but I will take it any day over rain back home and well from what I hear it's not even raining so go figure. LOL

Yall have to stay tuned for some amazing JUNE kits... I am a Scrapaholic and Dixie pieces both have some to die for kits coming out here in June so be sure to check them both out. You will love them both. hehe

Super Excited....

This has been on the down low a bit but I am super excited... this is an exclusive item that Magistical memories did for The Embellishment Studio for the May 15- June 15th kit. It is designed from one of my owls that I have been making since I was a kid. This is called "Liby Owl"


Leave me a comment from now till Monday May 19 and I will pull a few names on Tuesday May 20th and send out some Liby owl RAK's..

The kits will go up on the embellishment studio website some time next week so stay tuned... The ribbon is Amazing..

Down by the River...

Well things have settled down a little bit in my life. We have been doing a lot of family time and since the weather has been great on the weekends we went down by the river. Of course I had to take my camera to get some photos.

Here is a photo of Miranda... She had fun looking for cool rocks for the fist tank.. I can't believe she is going to be 14 in a few months.

The water was ice cold but you know kids they just have to get in.. lol

Here the little guys are trying to figure out if this is wood or a bone of some amazing creature. lol

This photo is my favorite photo. I have no idea why but I just love it.

I have been working on a few layouts and cards and will get them up in the next few days...

April showers bring May flowers....

or at least that's what I keep telling myself as I continue to watch it rain day after day... LOL We are suppose to have amazing weather this weekend and I am looking forward to it.

I have been a scrapping fool this month working with my kit from I am a Scrapaholic... It's an amazing kit. Always packed full. Don't forget the celebration is still going on so if you have some time come on over and join in on Bingo this weekend and games through out the week. Lynn is also putting up amazing deals of the day to get some awesome products at amazing prices...

getting back into the swing of things...

Wow it's been a while since I have updated... The past 6 weeks have been so filled with emotion that right now I just want to be happy. Ya ever feel like that? Like what else can go wrong or what's next... lol Well I can for one tell ya that I just want to get back into the swing of things. I am hoping that life as it is right now will calm down and only good things to come. One good thing that has happend in the past few weeks is I have been added to the Dixie Pieces design team. The kits are awesome and the board is always friendly. If you have time please head on over there to check things out. Lots of challenges etc.

Also if your looking for something to do this month. I am a scrapaholic is having a month long celebration. Yup 2 years and going strong. Daily prize giveaways and loads of challenges and things to get your creativeness going. Plus the April kit is AMAZING... Hope to see you there.

It's Snowing..... In March...

OMG I thought it was Spring already... Just about an hour ago it started to snow. Here are some photos just 5 min. after it started.

It started to stick right away as it's been cold the past 2 days. Here are some photos I just took. It's been about an hour now since it started to snow and well it doesn't look like it's gonna stop any time soon. lol


Crazy crazy weather. The kids area already hoping for a snow day tomorrow. LOL If it keeps it up they just may get it. lol

Are you kitting me....

After seeing this kit called "Estate Sale" I just had to post it on my blog for all my friends to see it...

Not sure if everyone knows that Magistical Memories has started a monthly kit club. Yup my favorite chipboard in exclusive shapes each month paired with the hottest papers and trends. Yup I'm hooked. How could you not be. lol

Ok so here is the brand new April kit that just went up for sale today.

Easter Cupcakes...

This year I decided to do a little something different... Hubby usually colors eggs with the kids while I take photos etc. Well on Wednesday we found out hubby was being extended on his Military TAD and will not be home for Easter now. So I thought I would come up with my own thing to do with the kids. So I went out and got all the things I needed to get to make the most amazing cup cakes. I found the most amazing jumbo sprinkles at Target in the Easter stuff and went from there. The kids really love the idea. lol So today we started making our Jumbo cupcakes. LOL Well my cupcake wrappers are two small for my jumbo cupcake pan but we made do. lol today we made red velvet jumbo cupcakes and mini cupcakes. While they were cooking Miranda was watching them and I ran out to the store and got a regular cupcake tin so we could make regular size ones tomorrow after breakfast.lol The little guys really enjoyed decorating the cupcakes and Joshua dove face first into the first one and started to eat it before I could stop him. He is allergic to red dye and gets a little rash for 24 hours when he eats something with red dye. You would be amazed at how many things that aren't red have red dye in it. Anyway here are a few pictures of some of our cupcakes. The next batch is Lemon. mmmmm

A New challenge and a few new cards...

I have found some amazing new papers from a company called Graphic 45. I am soooooooooooooooooo loving all the amazing pattern papers. Here are a couple cards I have done so far and I'm working on a few projects that I hope to have done soon.. I just have to find more paper.LOL The first is a Baby card. It's totally simple and easy to do. I added some hand stitching for that little added something. The second card would make a great "Lets do lunch" card which is what it says inside the card.

Simple easy cards...

I have been working on some simple easy cards with the March kit at IAAS. The first card I hope shows that I have really been taking some time with those little added touches that seem to go a long way. The second card is a simple but elegant card and the 3rd card well I love the owls, they are sooooooooo cute.

Vintage goodies...

Vintage goodies make awesome cards. hehe This month at The embellishment studio the kits are filled with them. The flower on the card is in the eclectic and hodge podge kits. They were made by Debbie VanMarter one of the DT gals. They are just gorgeous. I sprayed some coffee glimmer mist on the green and cream fabric. There are also a few tags in the kits that I had a blast designing for The embellishment studio.


I will have a sneak peek with some March goodies from The embellishment studio up tomorrow. Yall are gonna love it.

Do you need a clip it up????

I have been cleaning and purging in my scrap room and came to the realization that I don't use my clip it up. So I took it apart and boxed it up and decided I would RAK it away to someone who will get more use out of it then me... It is the upper and lower tier along with the cover and lots of clips and dividers... Worth $120.00 Sooooooooo if you have been wanting a clip it up. All you have to do is go to Secret Scrapper and post HERE why you need one and show me a photo to go with your story. Long weekends...

I have a love hate relationship with long weekends. I hate them when hubby is gone and the weather stinks, but love them when the weather is awesome and when hubby is home. hehe

Yesterday we had a bunch of running around and it was nice not having to dodge the rain etc.

Today the little guys and myself took a long walk in the woods behind our home. I have been wanting to get some good photos of the boys in their element and my mom was hounding me for some photos. Plus I wanted to play with my Cannon SLR with the HD film. So we went on a stroll with my cameras in tow. hehe Here are a few shots I got with my Olympus DSLR Evolt 510 (if you click the photos it will bring them up bigger)

I just love Joshua's smirk in this photos. He is so funny and his personality really shows in this.

This one isn't too bad. I need to figure out how to not get a glare on his glasses. But it's still a good photo and love how he dressed himself. hehe

This is Isaiah and well who needs school photos when you get a shot like this. I love it. hehe

This photo I thought was kinda cool. I have an idea for a layout with this photo.

I just love Vintage stuff...

Vintage goodies anyone???

The embellishment studio just put up their kits a few days ago and man they are yummy. I so can't wait to play with all the goodies. I am just in love with that green and white vintage fabric. Can you imagine going to watch a movie and only having to pay $0.38 for it. Amazing huh.

Baby Cards...

The new challenge is up at Caardvarks. So get out that baby theme paper or what ever you like and make up some baby cards... The Caardvark designers have some total eye candy up on the blog that is sure to get you motivated and if that isn't enough. There is an awesome kit up for grabs as well.

Simple fast card...

Here is a really fast simple card...

All items except the I {heart} you chipboard are from the I am a Scrapaholic Feb Kits. Be sure to go check it out as all the kits this month are awesome and packed full of amazing stuff...

Instructions:
Cut your cardstock to 4x8 and fold in half and sand edges
Cut your shimmering solid pink paper to 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and place on front of your folded cardstock
Stamp little bird on scrap piece of white or coordinating paper and cut out
Cut your ribbon and lace from kit to 3 different lengths and layer on card at slightly different angles. Add a piece of small cardstock 1x2" or one of the tickets from the the therapy kit.
Place your little bird on your card and now add your sentiment.

Now you have a simple card to give to your special someone or for a teacher etc. It took less then 10 min to make.

The Embellishment Studio is having a card contest

It's that time of year again when we all demonstrate our love for someone with a card!

Design 4 cards that we love and you could win a Guest designer spot on The Embellishment Studio dt. The winner will be able to choose which kit and month they want to design for.

Here is what ya need to do...

1) You must make FOUR (4) cards using only ONE (1) piece of cardstock, TWO (2) pieces of patterned paper, and THREE (3) embellishments of some kind (one of the embellishments MUST be ribbon and/or lace).

2) You must also use your scraps from the cards to dress up your envelopes.

3) Post your entries in the special Valentine's Day contest forum that will be set up in the gallery.

4) The Embellishment Studio Design Team and Guest Designers are not eligible

5) Deadline for this contest is February 14th at 12AM
