Yes they are... I started creating these Owls in 1987 around Christmas time. I was a freshman in high school and wanted to create some gifts for my cousins, friends etc. I created my owls from old drapes, sheets, towels, fabric you get the picture. Over the years I incorporated buttons and use wool felt for the bodies. A few years ago I started sewing them onto painted canvases and turned my little stuffed owls into key chains etc. I use to sell them on etsy, at craft fairs etc. About 1 1/2-2 years ago I stopped creating them and really dove into card making. A couple weeks ago and thanks to the most recent swap I was in I sat down and created the following items for my secret swap sister as on the questionnaire she stated she loved owls.. Now I have about 6 key chains done and 12 canvases painted and waiting for owls to be hand sewn onto them. I plan on putting them up in my Etsy shop, but if anyone is interested in purchasing one etc please e-mail me at ElisaK12 at gmail dot com.
Owl Keychain
No two owls are a like as they are all hand cut with no pattern and sewn with different fabrics etc. I really love to sew and create fun whimsy things so I'm totally thankful for that swap a friend convinced me to join... So thanks Angela.
Here are some older blog posts on my little owls..
Thanks so much for looking and I will be back tomorrow with another project. Till then... Happy Crafting.
