simple Valentines card...

Here is a really simple Valentines day card...

All the papers are from the January kits at I am a Scrapaholic. They are from Collage Press. Totally yummy stuff. I also use Scenic Route heart chipboard and rub-ons are from pebbles inc. The card measures 4.5x4.5. I took all my scraps of paper that I had left and used the bigger pieces to cut 2 squared one a bit bigger then the other. Then I used smaller bits of papers to cover the chipboard hearts and sanded the edges. Added the rub-ons and took a pen and added some lines and circles around the edges. Totally simple and easy for anyone to do.

Thanks for looking.

It's all about Love...

With Valentines Day just around the corner I figured I would start showing some totally simple, easy and adorable Valentine cards. Now if you get the kits from The embellishment studio then you are totally in luck because you have most of this stuff in your hot little hands. hehe I used products from the eclectic and hodge podge kits.

See how simple this card is. I just cut out an image from some pattern paper. In this case it's from Luxe designs. Placed it on my card then took the rub-ons from the Hodge Podge kit and picked out a few and added them to the Journaling cards. Cut up some white ball fringe and black heart lace and added that. Took a few small K and co cushion hearts and it was done. Totally easy and way cute.

Now this card is even simpler and it's totally cute. I took the green journaling card in the eclectic kit sanded the edges and added it to my Bazzill which is cut 8x6. I took the left over pink journaling card from the card above and tore out a heart shape and adhered it to the bottom right corner of my card. Took the rub-ons from the Hodge Podge kit and added a few sentiments to it. Then I cut about 3-4 inches of the white ball fringe and added it across the heart. Totally simple, fast and perfect for Valentines day.

Now that I got yall making Valentines. lol ok ok maybe I didn't get ya making them but if you are you for sure have to enter the contest going on at The embellishment studio. It's a totally simple contest and you could get one of the fab kits from The embellishment studio to design with and you even get to pick what ever month you like. How fab is that? Still Excited about this...

I have been asked to join the gals at Caardvarks. When Jenyfur asked me to join them a few months back I totally thought she was joking and laughed about it with her. Well duh me. She wasn't joking. Gosh what an honor it is to join the Caardvarks team. Such a talented group of ladies. So now I get to make a few cards a month for the challenges at the Caardvarks blog. There is usually 2 challenges a month, but from time to time there might be a few more. I think the reason why I thought she was joking with me is because I haven't been making cards all that long. September is when I really found my groove when it comes to cards. My cards before that yeah well let's not go there. lol

The next challenge is up on the Caardvarks blog. Create a card using either BLUE tones OR a celestial design! Here are my cards.

A little bit of a different take on Celestial on my second card. hehe. Make sure you check out the blog to see all of the other cards from the Caardvarks team, and if you get a chance join in on the challenge. The prize is awesome and so worth it.

Thanks for looking.

A little peak...

Here is a little peak at a couple things I have been working on. I can tell you more about it tomorrow... Still really excited about it.

Today it is raining and snowing. It is taking turns. lol Good thing the ground is good and wet to where the snow doesn't even have a chance to stick. Although it would be fun for the kids to finally get some snow to play in.

Have a great weekend.

My first 6x12 layout...

Wow I never imagined that this size would be so fun to do. Fast and way easy. This is one of my DT layouts for I am a Scrapaholic. The kits this month so rocked full of Collage Press and Prima paintables... I also used a Becky Fleck page map for this layout.
I would love to see your take on this sketch.

Gotta love a good Michaels find...

Ok these are all in the $1 bin at Michaels except for the loose ribbon. Isn't it all so cute... I just had to have it all from the journaling books to the coasters and the ribbon spools are way cute.

These I just couldn't help but get. I love all the bright colors and the chandelier's are awesome. All in the dollar spot section at Michaels except for the Rusty Pickle album, clear embossing powder and black lace.

Ok don't ya just love these ribbon spools from Michaels once again. The loose lace is just like the black lace in the picture above. I don't go to Michaels very often, but decided to go to see if they had any of the new K and co stuff. They didn't have any but I am thrilled with my finds. LOL

Collage Press + Prima = I am a Scrapaholic...

This month at I am a Scrapaholic the kits are filled to the rim with the most amazing papers from Collage Press and Prima. The embellishments are amazing and compliment one another so well. Most of the kits are and have been sold out but there are a few little pill kits left. Here is my latest layout using this kit.

I really love playing with these papers together and using the water colors on the prima paper. Totally gets your creativeness going. Be sure to keep checking out the I am a Scrapaholic Blog. It's updated all the time with lots of great tips and techniques, some of the most amazing step by step projects etc. This month the design team has been playing with some of Becky Fleck's pagemaps. Awesome inspiration.

I also have a little bit of a secret. Something I am still shocked about and to be honest I thought it was a joke at first. I will fill ya in and give you a little sneak peak in a few days. hehe

Have a great day.

A bit of Reminisce eye candy...

Yes I am still playing with Reminisce products. I just can't get enough of them. I love mixing the lines with each other. The colors mix so well. I am playing with the Girly Girl collection and the Snow Globe collection. So as I was scrapping I was listening to xm radio and the song Lucky Star came on and well I guess I drove Miranda nuts with the song as she couldn't stop singing the song either. So when I decided to scrap a photo of her I just couldn't resist using the song as my title and journaling. LOL

I also used my scraps from this layout to participate in the last challenge Reminisce is having on their blog. I really have had alot of fun doing all of these challenges and well when you enjoy a product as much as I enjoy Reminisce it's a win win. I really do hope they do this again. With Valentines day just around the corner I couldn't help but do a Valentines card.

If your looking for some awesome Easter or Spring pattern paper you must check out Reminisce Happy Easter collection. It is super cute and the colors are so fresh.

Have a great Monday...

Index photos...

I love using up those index sheets of photos you get when picking up your photos. I usually use them in mini books but decided to use them on a layout. Plus I have the amazing January Basic Kit from The embellishment studio and papers from the November add on kit also from The embellishment studio. So I had to put them together and scrap away.

I really like the way it turned out and it's an all about me layout to add to my all about me album. I also finally played with some of that Love Elsie stuff I have been holding on to. lol

Thanks for looking

Wow I am in lace heaven...

I just seen the January kits at The embellishment studio and OMG they are amazing as usual. The lace and ribbon is always to die for and then the mix of embellishments that is added to the kits are amazing and match perfect with the ribbon and lace. I see a whole lot of Valentines that will be made with these kits.

There is also vintage button and some Heidi Swapp items with these kits that aren't pictured yet. I will be playing with one of these kits this month and I can't wait to use it all up. I may have to buy up some more of that ribbon and lace.

A quick upload of some goodies.

Here in Washington we are getting lots of wind from the storm so I am gonna make it quick as I don't want to loose power half way into posting this. I have been playing with the January kit at I am a Scrapaholic. One word to describe the kit. AWESOME!!! It is full of Prima Paintables, Collage Press Grayson and some awesome tools. Here are a few items that I have done so far.

This is an Art Canvas. Miranda wanted me to do a canvas for her to hang in her room. So when I seen this Prima Paintables paper in the kit it came to me to do up the buildings graffiti style. I had Miranda (13) draw the manga characters as that is her thing. She is a great artist at only 13. I drew the Donald duck, flower and words. Used the water colors to fill it all in. She loves it and after I took the photo she took off with it and a hammer to hang it up. hehe

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great Weekend. I will post more tomorrow.
