It snowed..

Yesterday we had our first snow fall of the season.  Today we are having our first snow day of the season.

When the kids got home yesterday they wanted to play in all the fluffy snow so Miranda grabbed the camera and snapped a few photos.  Which was perfect as I was creating with the We R Memory Keepers Merry January collection for Lila's Scrapbooking and snow photos is what I needed.

Here is my layout and a couple cards.

I added some October afternoon mini alphas as they were the perfect color and a black #1 thicker from American Crafts.  Everything else is We R Memory Keepers Merry January.

I added a flower soft topper and flower soft to the card on the right.  I am just loving flower soft.

Thanks for looking and until next time... Happy Crafting.

Scrap Within Reach "Paper Boy" cardstock stickers

Here is a simple B-day card I did using a few scraps left from the layout...

I heart Clear Scraps Deco Shape...

I have been creating a lot with Clear Scraps lately. Getting lots of assignments done and some extra's to send in for submissions on a few magazine calls. Here is one of my latest layouts using one of my favorite Clear Scraps XL shapes.

I created the background using Staz-On teal and brown inks and Tim Holtz Blending sponge tool.(click photo for a closer look)

Dab your sponge tool into your ink and dab on your acrylic several times getting different shades of your ink. Once you reached the look you like switch to brown ink and dab just the ends of your acrylic. It's super simple to do. Let it dry for a few minutes then start your layout.

Products used:
Clear Scraps XL Deco shape
Staz-On Teal and Brown inks
My Mind Eye pattern paper, die cuts, tag and overlay

Thanks for looking and I'll be back tomorrow with another project...

Wow 2010 is getting off to a great start. I am patiently waiting for our new modem so I can catch up on all the amazing stuff I have missed the past few weeks. Not having internet at home is so crazy. It's funny how much we depend on it. Thank goodness for technology as my cell phone has totally saved me. My e-mails go straight to my phone which is so nice as well as able to get on alot of sites like facebook and my blog which I wasn't sure if it would work but it seems to be.. hehe Now lets see if I can post a photo from it.lol

Here is a few new creations

I'll be back tomorrow with some cards...

Cinco de Mayo & Serendipity May DT work

Today is Cinco de Mayo and like every Cinco de Mayo our house is always smelling yummy... This year the kids and hubby requested tortilla soup. Mmmmm So I cooked the chicken with some yummy Mexican spices and have that all shredded up and now it's on low in the crock pot with green chili's, diced tomatoes, potatoes, corn, cilantro, onions and some other amazing traditional Mexican spices. I made some corn tortillas today and I have them cut up in strips and baking in the oven with a little olive oil and garlic salt on them... They will be served ontop of the soup with some avacodo and some cut up cilantro.. Can you say mmmmmmmmmmm...

Now yall have to check out the kits this month at Serendipity. They are all amazing as usual. This month I worked with the "I deserve it all Kit"

It is filled with papers from Chatterbox and Scrap within reach and loaded up with embellishments from chatterbox, We R Memory Keeps and alphas from Scenic Route. This kit is a must have and is awesome for any project. Here are my projects that I did with the May I deserve it all kit.

It's April 1st...

It's April 1st and time to show off an amazing kit from Serendipity... I received the April "I deserve it all kit". It is filled with papers from My minds eye and DCWV green papers. Some Prima flowers and bling and a entire box of chipboard and the list goes on. I was able to create 2 layouts 8 cards and an small mini book and still have a small stack of papers left... This kit is truly one that is filled with goodies and it totally screamed cards to me. I have no idea why as I am not a card maker by far, but I am really happy with how they turned out...

This last card I used Kazan's sketch #23 at 2 sketches 4 you...

The new PageMaps are out and you can find my layout titled "Cute" in the new Mini Maps section. It's a vertical 5x7 layout... Totally fun to try a new size layout. I think this size is great for a mini album... I used the April I deserve it all kit from Serendipity for my layout.

I hope you have a happy Wednesday...

Happy b-day to me & This weeks ad...

Well today is my day... I am officially 36 today. I feel every bit of it as well. lol I have enough grey hair to last me a life time. This morning my 4 amazing kido's & 2 puppies thought it would be amazing to bust out in song and dance at 6am in my room and on my bed along with tooting on a trumpet. They went all out Cosby style. LOL It was great and my ears are still ringing but I'm still chuckling at little Joshua puckering up and blasting with all his hot air on that trumpet while Lola and Rocky howel along with all the amazing music. You gotta love kids. They even called hubby so he could take part as well. I think the only thing he did was crack up laughing. LOL I plan on having a great day. We are making a run later to Costco for pizza and I am in the process of making my own cake. It's a black and white cake from the amazing Barefoot Contessa. It is the most amazing cake. I will for sure take photos to share. I did want to say thanks for all the e-mails and cards wishing me a Happy Birthday. Yall sure do know how to make a girl feel good. hehe Yall are awesome. Ok so enough of me. LOL

This weeks ad at Ad This is amazing. The twist this week is handmade. You must make your own pattern paper as well as your embellishments. You can use any alphas you like for the title but everything else must be made by you or stamped etc.

Here is my layout. I recycled a piece of 12x12 chipboard and cut out all the shapes on my cricut machine. I inked up some magic mesh and stamped on my cardstock along with a Inkadinkado stamp. Added some Tim Holtz ink and Ranger dimensional pearls. I also used a couple stamps from Unity Stamp company.

Here is this weeks ad... I totally love it.

Thanks for stoping by and have a happy hump day. Hugs

One of those days...

It's been one of those days today... The weather has been nice today but the kids just want to stay in the house. go figure. So I have been listening to them fight off and on all day. Why is it that no one wants to play with a certain game until someone else wants to play it and then everyone wants to play it. lol Kids ya gotta love them. hehe Lola our little princess puppy isn't feeling well today. So her and I have just been snuggling on the couch and she has been watching me scrap... hehe

Here are a few new layouts I did today and plan to have more to share with you tomorrow. Oh and I will be posting all my Clear Scraps stuff tomorrow.

I just adore the "Eye of Newt" line and have used up just about all I had.. hehe If you haven't seen the new lines from Moxxie you must. They are awesome. A couple of my favorites and must haves are Made from Scratch , Rock Diva and the Double Sided Die Cut Cardstock. The layout below is made up from papers and Rub-ons from the Rock Diva, Double Sided Die Cut Cardstock (black and pink), Cardstock Stickers from Made from Scratch)

Moxxie Silver and Hot Pink gliter Element, Silver Alpha Rub-ons and Guitars Glitter rub-ons
Made from Scratch Die Cut Stickers

So leave a comment sometime this weekend and I will draw a winner on Monday.
