Happy Valentines Day

Here are some of my favorite Valentine Cards that I made up using several different products from my Purple Cows DT Box along with the amazing new Freestyle mouse kit... Awesome tool

I used the freestyle mouse kit to cut the heart and then I rough sanded the heart added some rub-ons and vintage lace... Quick and easy

This is some older paper from prima that I pained with the new amazing Smootch spritz... Added some rub-ons and glitter...

More of that paintable Prima paper that I painted using my colorbox inks and used the freestyle mouse to do my hearts and tore them up a little added some rub-ons...

If you haven't checked out the new freestyle mouse kit from Purple Cows you must. It's an amazing tool and just like all of Purple Cows trimmers it cuts paper, fabric, felt, chipboard, acrylic, clay and the list goes on.

I hope you have an amazing Valentines Day.

Here are my little goody boxes filled with candy... They are great for school classroom parties, stocking stuffers, b-day parties and the list goes on.

Step by Step instructions...
  1. Trim pattern paper to 5.5 x 5.5 and 8.5 x just a bit over 3"
  2. Scor 5.5" square at 5" on all 4 sided and then again at 4.25 on all 4 sides.
  3. cut off little strip on all 4 corners as seen in photo
  4. then snip to fold up pieces on all 4 sides as seen in photo.
  5. Now glue all pieces that are folded up to strip to the right. this will create your box.
  6. Once glue is dry fold over top pieces and glue down. This will give the inside of your box a nice edge and make it a bit sturdier. Now set aside to dry.
  7. Scor 8.5" piece of cardstock at 1", 4", 4.3/4" & 7.3/4 fold each crease and decide which side you want for your top.
  8. Center spellbinders deco square die on the part that is the top of your box and run it through your die cut machine.
  9. Cut a piece of clear scraps acrylic or Hambly transparency to cover hole and glue on the inside of the paper. This will make sure your candies don't fall out.
  10. Once dry glue your ends together to create the outside sleeve of your box (you will have a little paper left over... you can either cut it off or glue it to the bottom of your box.)
  11. Fill your box with candy and slide it into the outside sleeve.
  12. Embellish box to your liking.
  13. Wrap ribbon around your box so it doesn't slide open.

I hope you liked these little goodies and will be making some of your own.

Now from here you want to go to Samantha's blog to catch more fun ideas of what you can make and do with Purple Cow products. Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to be eligible for our blog hop prize! Good luck!

Plus if you leave a comment on my blog or facebook page by Friday Dec 18th I will add your name to the drawing for a little RAK of my own. If you sign up to follow me I will add your name to the mix twice... Think Vintage ribbon's and lace... ohhhh ahhhh.

Simple Sentiments...

I love taking all my scraps left from layouts and those odd leftover embellishments and making cards... So after completing a few layouts from the Cosmo Cricket "Jacks World" Collection I made a few simple sentiment cards... What I love about Cosmo Cricket papers is you can mix and match papers, embellishments etc and the outcome is still amazing... As always I used my Purple Cows trimmer and favorite click blades to help with that extra little touch... Yup those decorative edges were cut on my Purple Cows trimmer with the different blades.... Who needs decorative scissors when a cutter can do it all... I love my Purple Cows Ultimate Trimmer 1050.. hehe

Thanks for looking and I would love to see what you all do with your Cosmo Cricket Scraps... So link me up.

Happy Halloween...

Today is my favorite holiday. I love the kids all dressed up in costumes ranging from princesses, bumblebees, ladybugs, ghosts, mummy's, vampires, skeletons and the list goes on. They all have smile's on there faces and love checking out the treats that enter there sacks from one house to the next. I know my kids went out with pillowcases in hopes that they will fill them up. LOL I let them know that the dentist was giving out $2.00 per lb of candy as well as sending $2.00 per lb to the boys and girls club they gave me a look like I was insane. I will keep my fingers crossed that they do not fill up those pillowcases and I can't wait till they return home to hear all the stories about this house and that house and whom had a haunted garage etc. LOL

I leave you with a few Projects... First up are a few cards I made with some Imaginisce "Spooky Town" goodies I received in one of my DT boxes from Purple Cows. You can also see the step by step instructions to make these cards on the Purple Cows site.

Next up is a Mini Album that I created from Clear Scraps 7" Scalloped album. Plus I used Cosmo Cricket "Haunted" goodies that I received in a DT box from Purple Cows. You can see the directions for this album on Clear Scraps Blog as well as on Purple Cows Site.

Thanks so much for looking and I will be back soon with some more Projects.
